An anomaly is based on a subjective time span of 30 or so years average. This means it can change as the range of base line temperatures change. There is no objective point of reference..
At least with a standard (absolute) temperature you have a common point of reference... something you do not have with a subjective and easily manipulated anomaly.

Which is why warmist/alarmists is choosing the Anomaly to deceive people.
Its utterly amazing how the manipulations are being done and touted as empirical evidence when they are nothing more than fantasy modeling. Just about every "news" agency is throwing out this garbage as fact when it is fantasy.

This was done in a model that overestimates warming by a factor of ten... Imagin that..
It is a lie anyway since the Holocene Climate Optimism of around 10,000 years ago is strongly warmer than now as well as the Minoan, Roman and Medieval warm periods were all higher as they had much warmer ground in the far north than it is now where permafrost still exist that was absent in Medieval time while grapes grew much further north in Roman Italy and England than it does now.
These people are desperate to keep the lie alive. they are now lying openly and provably so. This is pure desperation.
