This really drives me nuts.

I had a lengthy (and heated} discussion with a professor at my local college a while back and he refuses to acknowledge that CO2 has a diminishing return in our atmosphere. He is a true believer that our atmosphere will run away in temperature.

This is well document and accepted science. When I showed him the science of it he demanded that I believe in his position rather than discuss the science, all because he is a professor. I really hate the appeals to authority.

It appears the CAGW zealotry is so ingrained into academia today that they refuse to allow cognitive thought on the issue. He became indignant when I demonstrated how even with a doubling of our current level of CO2 concentration would only result in less than 1 deg C rise globally.

It seems that our academics are now propogandists rather than instructors in how to perform real science.
