My future plan for my place here

Hello members.

I have been in some discussions with our hard-working systems administrator about my time here and what I want to do into the future which includes the possibility of leaving this forums ownership to start over on a new forum because I really missed my original plan I had when I started this forum back in August 2022 which originally was to be a reincarnation of my old Global Warming Skeptics forum I once had for what I wanted to do and had attracted serious attention where it became the 10th largest forum in the world by traffic at one time it stopped in 2017.

See how serious I was then; it was my dream to start it again in August 2022 but foolishly allowed Doug1943 to talk me into a format that came to be called Patriot Action which is what we have today but was a militia based set up in the beginning that got quickly changed over time to the standard set up we have now.

So, I decided on two possible routes into the future one was to vacate ownership and leave or stay to build climate/geology/environment section for myself that I run independently the way I wanted it all along as I love doing it.

I decided to try the second option because there is a forum already existing thus can start right away but this will be MY area of interest thus will be restricted to read only status for now. If it works to my satisfaction, then I will stay here but if not then I start a forum on my own elsewhere.....

Will try transferring some of my essays and other important stuff from the old GWS forum that is important to me.

Would any of us be viewed as renegade in nature by asking what, exactly, does this post mean?

Are you forewarning us that this Community is to be tossed into the Internet trash can?

Or is that style of phrasing the question too crude to be answered?

So, a congenial method of phrasing the question would be: Is this Community going to survive your whims?

As it seems that the words of Mr. Benjamin Franklin carry some weight with certain members of this Community, and if we are to view this as a Community of humans, and not serfs or slaves or robots; let me offer something I believe is properly given to be Mr. Franklin's answer to the following question:

What sort of governing institution has the constitutional delegates created?

"A republic, if you can keep it."

Myself, I interpret that as meaning we be engaged in what's going on within a Community.

What might be the definition of -being engaged-?

Now I still do not see the database of all those posts and all the effort of the members that were engaged in discussions in the former Community. I read all sorts of things about it is/was around and stuff like that, but no ongoing information about where it is, what will happen to it, and so on. All that effort by many people and where is it now? Does anyone really care? I mean !!!REALLY!!! care? If you did you'd be asking questions. And asking again. And again.

Now, we are being informed there is something going on with Community #2, and I ask what to expect and I see no answer. I see no others asking questions.

What might that mean? Fear? Total compliance? Follow the leader, no matter where that "following" might lead to?

I read around here a whole bunch of criticism of the ideas professional politicians in the Democratic Party have in the brick-and-mortar world, but what about governance in your own Community? Or is it you don't view this as a Community? Maybe all of you feel those ideas you espouse about the running/governing of brick-and-mortar Communities don't apply to online Communities? Like we are something less than real humans here?

We are simply compliant children following mommy and daddy around and we question nothing?

Or we are restricted in what questions we may ask?

This thread isn't showing that anyone here is actually walking the walk. Not true dedication to the basic ideas in our 250 years as a nation?

I will tell you this that I never had any intentions of throwing the forum into the "internet trash can" as I never indicated this possibility at all it was about releasing ownership of the forum which clearly implies someone else would take it up.

My "whims" is my business not anyone else, be fortunate that this political forum is alive and running because I started it back in August 2022 against my wishes and paid over $1,000 to keep it running and with the hard working Billy_Bob keeping it running in the back end this forum has fought hard to stay online why would I after all this just let it die, you sir underestimate my resolve to help keep this small place online.

Online communities get fractured when forums go under. When TPF - Trinnity's site - when offline some went here, some went to tPF - the sister site - and some went to Political Haven. It was a loss. I was there for over 10 years and it was my main forum.

Same here, was at TPF just under 10 years and I miss it dearly. So many good people. I have joined the other two sites you mentioned.

This one is by far the most sane, not filled with TDS infected clowns or people that do nothing but trash America.

I don't agree as they are using AI and other search engines too to promote their climate fantasies, I see it often too they are not stopping the fight for their pseudoscience crap.

It is hard to replicate a forum from elsewhere as it had different owner and run by a different administrator and set up differently too, all I can do is try to create an environment where you and others feel they can be comfortable being here.

I did try to take over ownership of TPF, but they wanted to shut it down which frankly surprised me, but I didn't press it as I had to respect their decision, but Trinnity did allow me to recruit many members about my forum they can transfer to be among friends again, thus were able to bring in around 90 of the TPF members even invited many who were banned but only 3 came here including you.

If you want to change your username to just Madison just let up know.

I have started to change the forum set up which will be mostly confined in the Climate section at the bottom of the board, will make small changes elsewhere too, but EARTH section is my baby project that will sustain my time here into the future.

Might some of us be correct in feeling that possibly the "project" to allow us access to the previous platform is dead in the water?

All the posts/efforts by so many in that previous platform is . . . Well, is what? Gone forever?

It is not like that matter has not been broached in some other threads, and I believe in private communications. In fact, asked and ignored in this thread.

Maybe I am just wasting my time and effort asking about that?
