Making contingency plans for likely possibilities is unsurprising.

Hitting out like this is showing that a superpower is treating its allies as a vassal state. It’s not good diplomacy.

It is particularly stinging when an Allie that you bled and died for in their time of need does not support you in your time of need. Iran is trying to build nuclear tipped ICBMs. Now we have discovered that they have ballistic missiles that can reach London. You would think the UK needs to wake up and smell the coffee. If Iran is willing to shoot missiles at their "friends" in the middle east they would be happy to drop a nuclear tipped missile in London. Personally I think the Falklands should stay with whomever the people of the Falklands want to be governed by. But I do think the UK screwed up in a very big way.
