So many women and not a one pressed charges at the time, the Democrats are afraid he won't beat Collins so the activated their hit machine.

About a 2 minute read opinion piece on why Platner won't withdraw from the race. If Collins can't beat him we are in deep doo-doo.

Why should Platner withdraw? What’s in it for him? Nothing is in it for him other than things getting even worse than they are now for Mr. Nazi Tattoo.    | Politics

Just shows his party realizes the guy has no chance of winning. So they get some woman to cry rape with no proof so the walls come crashing down on him just in time to get another candidate who they think will have a better shot.

They couldn't care less about his past or him unless it hurts their chances of gaining a seat. They just want another vote in the Senate. Power is absolutely everything with them.

Why would be in big trouble if she loses? Just like Murkowski, she votes with the Dems around 80% of the time, especially when it counts.

Control of the Senate controls what comes up for a vote or not. And she's good on Supreme Court confirmations. Run a MAGA candidate in Maine and they might get 30% of the vote. And she's willing to vote for the SAVE act,

I don't think he will be able to turn out the vote.

She is as much as we can expect in Maine.

Ok, she's good for one or two votes, BFD. In my view she's a closet Democrat and always has been, so I don't give a damn about her.

I would prefer we keep the seat of course, but I cringe that it's her........again. As far as the Save Act, we got several others that seem to have lost their balls as happens a lot with our Senators. With Thune at the top of the list.

I agree, especially with all the crap about him that's currently going down.

I guess we'll know by Monday if he's in or not.

She actually votes with the GOP about 57% of the time.

Platner has suspended his campaign but has not, as far as I can make it out, withdrawn from the race.

My name might be on the ballot right now, but that ballot line belongs to the people of Maine.
Graham Platner (D) suspended his campaign on Wednesday after scores of Democrats called him to step down due to sexual assault allegations.

Not according to the quickie link I asked. It said 79.8%. But whatever, 10% is too much in the current political environment.

Yeah he's done. He said he's been unjustly forced out strictly because of accusations. Welcome to politics bud.
