The Dark Eagle is operationally ready now. And we don't accept RT as a source. RT is the propaganda arm of the Russian government.

There are many things involving the military which are classified and we don’t know. Nor do we need to know

All I know is that we do indeed have hypersonic programs and that capability. When the OP claimed that we have nor hypersonic development programs, he was absolutely wrong.

It didn't say that it says it is in development stage with them not yet fully tested, it isn't a mature technology while Russia and China have already done all that has been stockpiling them for use.

Do you have a legitimate source that says that?

The US skipped first-generation hypersonics and built generation 2. So far as defense to enemy hypersonics, that is tricky and likely is EW heavy and heavily classified.

The claim that the U.S. has no viable hypersonic program or no defenses against hypersonic weapons systems is 100-% false. Why would anyone even make such an absurd claim.

Then it should be easy to prove it, can you do it Tahuyaman?

Meanwhile you and others completely ignored post #14 OOps!

You made a false claim in the OP and I was proven false pretty early in this thread.

Your statement was proven to be false. The U.S. does indeed have multiple hypersonic development programs.

If one were to get into specifics on this quote:

"Golden Dome will protect our homeland, citizens, critical infrastructure and second-strike capability," Berkowitz said. "Today, our capability to defend the nation is limited, and its effectiveness is eroding against an increasingly advanced set of threats. Golden Dome will rectify this by creating a layered defense in depth of the United States."
It would be that the total landmass is not presently under a protective defense system. Even a vast majority of the urban centers are not under a protective umbrella.

BUT strategic sites are very likely under a pretty good umbrella of protection. Very possibly under layers of protection.

That would be the definition of "limited" and it might very well be that we can never have a "complete" "Golden Dome". May sound great to have such, but in practical terms, probably not a wise way to spend money.

Yes, being "practical" is also being nasty and unkind to many citizens that are not protected, but there's that weird thing called "not enough money" that must be factored in.
