On our forum we have very distinct sides to how we view these things.
On one side, we have those of us who see these as a necessary evil which should be done with great forethought. On the other side, we have those who think we should never enter into them.
I am going to use the Iran war today as my canvas to show you the two differing pictures.
Trump went into this war because there was no other choice. Iran was days from having a functioning nuclear weapon. Years of appeasement and negotiating had been used by Iran. During this time, they had built up a missile system that would stop anyone in their region from stopping them from their primary goal of a nuclear armed Iran.
Even today, after being defeated, they are stalling and using the same tactics they have used for 50 years to try and maintain control. The stated goal of destroying Isreal and the US are top priority even today.
Trump had to attack and remove the ability to become a nuclear power. If he had not attacked, we would be dealing with a nuclear adversary who has no problem using them to achieve their religious goals.
On the other side of this canvas are those who want no war and believe there is no reason for them to ever exist, except in very rare circumstances. I am not sure about what their logical arguments are. Could someone please enlighten me. Sunsettommy
