Wars and rumors of wars; how we view them

On our forum we have very distinct sides to how we view these things.

On one side, we have those of us who see these as a necessary evil which should be done with great forethought. On the other side, we have those who think we should never enter into them.

I am going to use the Iran war today as my canvas to show you the two differing pictures.

Trump went into this war because there was no other choice. Iran was days from having a functioning nuclear weapon. Years of appeasement and negotiating had been used by Iran. During this time, they had built up a missile system that would stop anyone in their region from stopping them from their primary goal of a nuclear armed Iran.

Even today, after being defeated, they are stalling and using the same tactics they have used for 50 years to try and maintain control. The stated goal of destroying Isreal and the US are top priority even today.

Trump had to attack and remove the ability to become a nuclear power. If he had not attacked, we would be dealing with a nuclear adversary who has no problem using them to achieve their religious goals.

On the other side of this canvas are those who want no war and believe there is no reason for them to ever exist, except in very rare circumstances. I am not sure about what their logical arguments are. Could someone please enlighten me. Sunsettommy

This thread is openly asking for deeply held opinions. RESPECT THEM!

Reflect on this for a moment before posting:

Everyone has an opinion here. Don't let that stop you from voicing your opinion. What is propaganda and what is not? Both sides do it and both sides suck at it. How do you weed out what is fact and what is fiction? Some believe the more fact-based information comes from US Sources and independent reporters. Some believe differently and rely on news from the region and known sources who favor Russia and Iran. Who is actually telling us the truth?

I am of the belief it is actually somewhere in the middle of these sources.

Those being dismissive and accusatory folks are not looking objectively at the problem IMHO.

Overwhelming military superiority and force projection can prevent most wars. The religious zealotry of Iran is an exception to the rule. Even if we don't have total victory in Iran, President Trump has kicked the can further down the road than any of his predecessors.

And Trump has had the foresight to establish the United States Space Force so we don't get caught with our pants down.

The Space Force can also do things from space that do not require explosive ordinance. Tungsten projectiles the size of a football and rods the size of 3/4" pipe and 8 feet log can penetrate deeper than any of our weapons can today if fired from space at above Mach 6. The kinetic explosion of these rods is equal to that of a nuclear weapon. We know how to protect them, so they meet their respective targets. This is why Russia feared us using space platforms in the 1980's. The race to manage space around the world is now where the war is. Killer satellites and the like are very much in the plans today.

We already know that China has some of these satellite killers in space. We must respond or we will be left behind. That is the societal issue we must face. Not allowing our society to be taken away should be our number one priority.
