Predictions for Nov. 8 election

I predict that Republicans will gain 48 seats in the House, and 8 seats in the Senate. What are your predictions? Anyone.

Republicans will also gain 3 more governorships, and 3 more state attorneys-general.

I'm not a betting man, but it is a fair game to see who comes the closest to predicting the election outcome.

You know, when Republicans control the House, then a Republican will be Speaker of the House--third in line for the presidency. That means they can remove Biden, and remove Harris, which would leave the Speaker of the House as president. This could save America from having to go through two more years of absolute ineptitude in the White House. It could save us from WWIII! And save Taiwan. We may not be able to wait two years for Trump to take over in 2024.

You forget that the speaker of the house does not need to be an elected member.  Trump could very well be that man even though he would have no voting privileges.  I love playing devil's advocate some days. 

I think you're in the ballpark.  48-53 seats in the house.  5-6 seats in the senate.   At least two more Governers chairs..  And local elections are wiping out school boards and democrats from city councils.  People are feed up.

I'm superstitious, and worry that an Evil Ear will overhear me if I start predicting my own good fortune, and it will then intervene and teach me a lesson.

How I hope we win! But ... no one knows the future.  We've got so much going for us ...mainly, the Left, who have really overplayed their hand. They should have waited and kept working away by stealth ... instead they've come out into the open: Drag Queen Story Hour! Cutting children's genitals off!

There is a saying, "Everyone is a conservative about things in which he is an expert". 

Ordinary people -- liberals, conservatives, Democrats, Republicans -- know what little children are like. They know what hardened criminals are like. When the Hard Left try to do things that run against common sense, these ordinary people react.

Whether or not this will translate into a sweeping electoral victory is, however, not so certain. Our side has a talent for shooting itself in the foot -- in particular, for being careless about the use of language.

A case in point: In Pennsylvania, the GOP candidate for Governor, Doug Mastriano, seems like an excellent patriot, although not without faults (as we all are), and at the other end of the conservative spectrum from me [ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doug_Mastriano  ]. But ... at some point, he called himself a "Christian nationalist" and has used other phrases that the Left can grab on to and use against him.  Now ... most Americans are Christians, at least notionally. And an "American nationalist" can simply be a good patriot who is fed up with the Blame-America-First radical Democrats like that Somali woman in Minnesota. 

But the phrase "Christian Nationalist" will be picked up and used by our enemies to portray us as scary people who want to persecute everyone who is not of a particular religious belief. Of course this is unfair -- in fact, it's our side who are concerned about bringing into the US people of a certain violent, intolerant religious persuasion --  and they're not Christians, of any type!

But we're in a war, and the other side are not 'fair'. So we have to be cold-blooded, cool-headed, and choose our words like choosing ammunition.

Anyway, I'm keeping my fingers crossed. And not counting any chickens yet.

Yeah, I have been telling people to drop the 2020 election steal claims for over a year because it is a waste of time and energy better to prevent the next possible one by being vigilant and vote to get the self-serving bums out of office.

One of the hopes I have for this site is to become a place where we help educate patriots into how to fight smart. And the 2020 elections issue is an example of that ... there is an interesting article in Chronicles of American Culture which makes all the points about the fishy things about that election, statistically. It's like fighting a war, where the enemy captures an important strongpoint, and also one which is actually not important. Someone might think that it's a point of honor to retake both, but a serious professional will concentrate on the important one and not waste resources on the unimportant one. 

We have to get people thinking like this.

This is correct.

IN the election integrity thread, I focus on the how they did it and how to stop it. NO one will ever be held accountable for the ballot box stuffing that occurred.  There are also online system threats which I did not go into.

It's the act of stopping it in the future that is the more important point now.

That includes some of the most corrupt leaders of the DOJ and FBI. The Democratic Party leadership also needs to be punished for its utterly criminal dishonesty, slander, and systematic fraud. Agreed.  I might not RUN on election fraud other than to say that many reasonable doubts and unanswered questions still remain about 2020, but it is important to honestly look at our election system soon and fix it (I had hoped they would do this after the 2012 incident with the IRS helping obstruct Romney organizations to help get Obumma reelected) by ending corruption along the lines suggested way back in 2005 by the Carter-Baker Commission on Election Integrity, not just to restore people's confidence in elections again, but also because if elections going forward are as corrupt as already admitted to by the democrats as per Molly Ball's Time Magazine article in Feb 4, 2021, then elections won't matter anymore and the deep state will just keep putting in their own crooked people puppets ad infinitum.

We may have a serious disagreement here. Or maybe not. It's worth discussing.

If any organization, or any individual -- including Donald Trump -- has clearly broken the law, then they should be subject to the scrutiny of the law enforcement organizations, and (possibly) charged with a crime.  (I saw 'possibly' because there is such a thing as common sense in law enforcement -- the old saying, de minimus non curat lex, the law does not bother about trivial things.)

This is what the 'Rule of Law', a core conservative value, means.

So, yes, if we get the ability to do so, we need to nullify the power of people in government who are undermining the Republic. In theory, the civil service is supposed to be neutral: technicians, carrying out the instructions of the democratically-elected government.  In practice, this ideal may not be lived up to.

Exactly how we go about doing this is not an easy question to answer. 

For example, we cannot just fire teachers whose political beliefs we do not like. We have to find concrete examples of where they have violated an existing law, or the rules laid down for them. If these don't exist, we have to pass laws making them exist.

So we need to make it very explicit, what is taught in schools, about American history, sexuality, and similar areas where the Left is busy being termites.  This is a fight on the state and local levels.

And even there ... our enemies will often manage to dodge the bullets.  So with respect to education, we have to push for School Choice at the pre-university level, and attack our enemies in the universities with other methods, mainly by cutting off the flow of federal money that serves only to sustain a bloated administrative staff, and useless degrees.

However, perhaps the individuals mentioned in the previous post, or the organizations mentioned, have violated some law. If so, we should definitely bring the full force of the law against them.

So ... which law, or laws, have they violated? Vague accusations of 'treason' are not enough.

Never disagree with being scrutinized when suspected but for Trump it seems more like a legal hounding and based on politics and not on actual crime which they seem uninterested in most of the time.

It's very important that we uphold the rule of law, and be seen to do so.

On Trump. I don't know whether he's guilty of anything real, or not. I am sure that whether or not he's guilt of anything, there are many people among his enemies who would like to invent something -- or to magnify something trivial into something serious. 

This is Russia-style justice, banana-republic justice ... not American justice. So if he's prosecuted for a made-up crime,we can appeal to the broad mass of Americans who still believe in the rule of law,  in fairness.

But .. if we ourselves start thinking like our enemies, we're finished.

Please understand: this does NOT mean we should continue business-as-usual old-fashioned Republican Party politics. We  have got to take on the Deep State, and  the pervasive control by liberals of our education system. We've got to take on the cowards running the big corporations who are trying to appease the 'woke' radicals who would ultimately like to hang them.

Watching what's happening to our country is ... frustrating... enraging in fact. It's completely understandable that patriots will react by saying, "This is treason, jail (or hang) the traitors."
But that's not what treason is.

Treason is not putting forward, or implementing, bad social policies that will ultimately lead to the destruction of the Republic.  In a sense, carrying out such policies is worse than treason, because they are always advanced as things that will help the nation. In any case, we must remain firm upholders of the rule of law.

In office, we should certainly cut off government subsidies to leftist organizations.

We should, wherever we have the political authority to do so, do things like striking the Southern Poverty Law Center off the list of organizations that the police (at whatever level) consult about 'terrorists' and 'hate groups'.

We should forbid the teaching of Critical Race Theory in the public schools. We should cut off funding for state-funded universities that discriminate against patriots, or which do not uphold free speech.  We need to think about something like an 'Affirmation of Belief in America' that all public employees must take. If you don't think that this country is basically a good thing, then you shouldn't be working for it. No private company would hire, or retain, an employee who proclaimed that its products were dangerous.

We should retire, or move sidewise into positions of no importance, the people at the top of the Justice Department and the Military who have lent themselve to the 'woke' crusade. (None of them really believe in 'wokeness', or in anything at all except getting their pensions, but they have shown they are not reliable defenders of the Republic.) They should be replaced with proven patriots.

But as believers in free speech ourselves, we must not deny it to our political enemies. To do so, or even to be seen advocating the denial of free speech to our enemies, would be a terrible self-inflicted wound.

The issues of teaching pornography to six-year-olds in school, and imposing on them the LGBTQ agenda that suggests they can choose what gender they are, without even consulting parents, are not political issues, they are moral and legal issues, and literally criminal. Such child abuse deserves severe punishment, and there should be complete banning from schools anyone who is not able to realize that. Why are such utter fiends being tolerated? Why are they not recognized as fiends? Why have so many people become morally blind? Here we see the real consequences of not believing in God, and His definitions of what things are good and evil. The Creator is the One True Authority on such matters. He is the One who would know.
