Our Forum needs a fitting banner.

   


I chose this for a number of reasons.  The first and most important one, is what a group of determined patriots can do, when we set our minds to it. That we must act in order to save our country as founded, that we must act despite our differences and act as one nation under God. We cannot allow those who would pillage us, much as King Geroge did to exist in positions of power, we can no longer allow the Marxists to have foot hold in our Nation. 

The quote from one of our founding fathers, Benjamin Franklin, is one that needs to be restated today.  IF we are unwilling to fight for what is right, we have no grounds to expect our freedoms to remain.

Democrats today want Marxism and are using every tool in the book to create it, using our own pride in law and order to do so while ignoring our laws upon themselves. One man's Patriot is another man's traitor...

Nothing is more fitting than the Boston Tea Party to describe us all as Patriots fighting for what is right.

Just updated the Banner it is much better but is it long enough?

Meanwhile we can make several more banner candidates to consider for later but will delete the one I just replaced in the image file.

I think the current 'Boston Tea Party' banner is excellent  (although the idea of banner rotation is interesting, if we can find other images as good as this one).

For one thing, it's unique. I looked for images to use, and there are hundreds, almost all of which are variations (or mixtures) of five themes:

(1) The Minutemen
(2) The American Flag
(3) An Eagle
(4) The Constitution
(5) The Statue of Liberty.

All of them are worthy images, but ... they are very common. Almost every conservative/patriotic site you will find has one or more of them as its logo.

The Tea Party is good because  few people landing on the site will have seen it before. It marks us as not just-another-conservative-forum.
And ... it's not immediately obvious what it is!  (At least not to me.) You have to look at it for a while, and figure it out for yourself.

The only technical issue I would raise is that the reflection of the words Patriot Action is confusing. It took me a while to puzzle out that it was just a reflection. Of course, that may be a 'reflection' on my cognitive abilities.

And, as has been said, the symbolism -- what a small group of determined patriots can spark off -- is perfect.

Always open to new banners that makes sense as it can be part of a proposed rotation but always have the words Patriot Action in it.

Ah ... that explains it ... too subtle for me, but then, there are a lot of modern jokes and cartoons and even words that baffle me. (I think I figured out what 'twerking' is, sort of. Ugh. And 'cos-play'. and 'cis'. All markers of a culture being pulled down into the slime so far as I'm concerned.) Never mind, I think the banner is great. Makes 'em think.
